Dataminr among the first organizations worldwide to earn the certification, reflecting its industry-leading commitment to responsible AI

Dataminr, the leader in AI-powered real-time event, threat & risk intelligence, today announced it achieved AIUC-1 certification, the standard for AI agent security, safety, and reliability. As one of the first organizations in the world to earn the certification, Dataminr now offers customers independent validation of how its AI agents perform when tested under real-world adversarial conditions.

The milestone extends Dataminr’s record of leadership in AI governance: it was also among the first organizations worldwide to achieve ISO/IEC 42001 certification for responsible AI. Where ISO/IEC 42001 validates how Dataminr manages and develops its AI platform, AIUC-1 verifies the performance and safety of its AI agents.

Maintained by the Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company and built with more than 300 Fortune 500 security leaders, AIUC-1 involves a third-party audit of organizational controls performed by an accredited auditor together with rigorous testing conducted by AIUC. Mastermind, one of the first accredited AIUC-1 auditors, independently tested Dataminr against the framework’s organizational controls.

“AIUC-1 extends the foundation of ISO/IEC 42001 into agentic AI by adding third-party testing of how AI systems actually behave,” said David Forman, Chief Executive Officer of Mastermind. “With ISO/IEC 42001 and now AIUC-1 certification, Dataminr is demonstrating a disciplined, industry-leading commitment to verifiable AI safety.”

AIUC tested Dataminr’s AI agents leveraging more than 1,000 adversarial, quality, and groundedness scenarios such as jailbreaks, prompt injections, data leakage, hallucinations, and unsafe tool calls.

“Customers deserve independent assurance that our safeguards are effective against rapidly evolving threats as we continue to expand our agentic capabilities,” said Dan Carmichael, Chief Information Security Officer at Dataminr. “AIUC’s adversarial testing systematically measures our agents’ robustness against a comprehensive set of attack types. Additionally, AIUC’s quality testing helps verify that our outputs are accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose. With quarterly retesting, that assurance keeps pace as our AI advances and customer expectations rise.”

For customers, the certification means Dataminr’s AI agents have been independently evaluated and tested against a comprehensive set of controls. As customers ask increasingly detailed questions on how AI agents are secured and governed, AIUC-1 provides the necessary assurance.

Jen Easterly, CEO of RSAC, former Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and Chair of Dataminr’s Corporate Advisory Board, added: “Dataminr’s customers will only adopt agentic AI as fast as they can trust it. Independent testing is a great way to earn that trust. Dataminr’s certification reflects its strong commitment to developing safe and secure AI systems, including for critical deployments, from U.S. government agencies to the world’s largest Fortune 500 enterprises.”
